Cremation & Aftercare
There is no “right” after-care choice,
only what feels right for you and your pet.
I will help guide you through the options,
with no pressure for you to decide straight away.
Home Burial
Some families choose to care for their pet through home burial.
I can guide you through council regulations, practical considerations, and ways to create a meaningful farewell at home.
Individual Cremation
Your beloved dog or cat can be individually cremated, with their ashes hand-delivered back to your home in a personalised memorial keepsake.
I can coordinate all arrangements with the crematorium on your behalf. You are not required to choose any particular urn or keepsake immediately; there is no rush, and options can be selected later when you feel ready.
Cremation with a Friend
Communal cremation is an excellent choice for those who want their pet cremated, but do not want their ashes returned. Your beloved pet will be respectfully cremated alongside other loved furry friends, with no ashes returned.
Our Crematorium Partners
The crematoriums I work with have been personally hand-picked by myself. They are small, locally owned businesses who are deeply committed to treating every animal with gentleness, integrity, and respect. Typically they will arrive at your home at the end of our appointment, however this is fairly flexible according to your wishes.
The crematorium fees listed are direct costs charged by the crematorium, not by Sacred Paws. I do not receive any referral commissions or financial incentives for cremation referrals (unlike what many large corporate-owned crematoriums offer).
If you already have a preferred crematorium, I am very happy to work alongside your chosen provider and organise the logistics on your behalf.
